Drum Shield Drum Screen sizes In the photo is a standard 5-piece kit with a cymbal and hi-hat, all set to pretty average heights.  When sizing the height of the drum shield, the closer other musicians are to the shield, the taller the shield should be.  (The acrylic panels in this picture still have the protective paper applied to allow the panels to be more visible in this picture.)

This is a typical layout for a 4-panel (8 linear feet) drum shield.  When most of the other musicians are in front of the drummer, this is a good choice.  The drum screen will block a majority of the noise from the other musicians.  The drawing is for illustration purposes only, and you should measure your particular setup for accuracy.

This is a typical layout for a 5-panel (10 linear feet) drum shield where the musicians are more at the drummer's side.  Notice that the shield wraps around a little tighter and will almost create a half circle around the drummer.  The drawing is for illustration purposes only, and you should measure your particular setup for accuracy.

A 6-panel (12 linear feet) drum surround is needed when the musicians are more in line with the drummer.  6 panels will also accommodate larger drum sets.  The drawing is for illustration purposes only, and you should measure your particular setup for accuracy.

A legend for the drum set.
